Placer County

Winemaking came to Placer County the same year gold was discovered in the area: 1848. Many miners became vintners as the region slowly transformed from Gold Country to farmland. The county is also home to Lake Tahoe, the largest alpine lake in North America and a world class skiing destination. Visit www.placerwine.com → Visit www.pcwga.org →
